James Montgomery, who Peter Wolf has called "the John Mayall of New England", and his hot lineup of Seth Pappas(drums), David Hull of the Joe Perry Project (bass) and George McCann (guitar), will debut some new songs from his upcoming CD featuring Aerosmith members, James Cotton, Johnny Winter and Darryl McDaniels (DMC).

The James Montgomery Band will be appearing at Skowhegan Strand Theatre on July 16th, 2010 in Maine. Don't miss this opportunity to see the band up close and personal as they make a rare evening appearance. In the past 2 years they have done almost all concert work including opening for AEROSMITH, B.B. KING AND LITTLE FEAT, among others. Some of the other projects have included the Kramer Montgomery Band with JOEY KRAMER from AEROSMITH, a series of JAMES COTTON tributes that have featured HUEY LEWIS , J.GEILS, KIM WILSON from the Thunderbirds, the UPTOWN HORNS (Rolling Stones, James Brown ), JOHNNY A and MICHAEL CARABELLO from Santana. The Montgomery Band also had a Supergroup that featured 3 AEROSMITH members ( Joey K., Tom and Brad ) JIM BELUSHI, BARRY GOUDREAU, former lead guitarist for the group Boston, JOHNNY A the Horns and Carabello again.
Montgomery was also invited last year to be part of a Supergroup for Right Turn that included him, ALICE COOPER, ACE FREHLEY from KISS, and CHAD SMITH from the Chili Peppers, and SIMON KIRK, from Bad Company. These are just a few of the big shows the band has done – look for BILLY SQUIER to hook up with them in the near future! Aside from just performing, the band looks to release a NEW CD soon! Included on the CD are JOHNNY WINTER, JAMES COTTON, BRAD AND JOEY FROM AEROSMITH, THE UPTOWN HORNS, and rapper DMC. Montgomery is also featured in a film DELTA RISING along with MORGAN FREEMAN and WILLIE NELSON, among others about Blues Music in the Deep South.
This led to the band being asked to play Ground Zero a Delta Juke Joint owned by Freeman, and he turned out to be quite a host! The James Montgomery Band just keeps getting better! Look for James to bring DAVID HULL on bass from THE JOE PERRY PROJECT, GEORGE MCCANN on guitar,who has played as a BLUES BROTHER and a member of STEVEN TYLER'S solo project and SETH PAPPAS on drums who toured for years with the legendary BARRENCE WHITFIELD.
